CD - Indian Jewelry - Totaled

N-CD Indian Jewelry Totaled

Available

Price: 11.99

New CD - Indian Jewelry - Totaled - Indian Jewelry is one of our favorite bands of the ‘00s. Their album, “Invasive Exotics” will forever be on our best albums of the first decade of the 21st century list. Therefore, we’re always excited when a new Indian Jewelry album drops. They’re typical MO is a post-industrial-style throbbing fuzz pop, with the least emphasis on the pop, but their songs are catchy as Thurman Munson. Earworm barely begins to describe the infectiousness of their melodies. Anyhow, “Totaled” is Indian Jewelry’s fourth full-length and it finds them at their least pummeling. The songs are still quite sinister, but there’s definitely less rhythmic throb, which makes this more of a post-party album than a pre/during-party one that’ll appeal to fans of the more minimal side of noir synth pop. At times, on “Simulation” for example, they come close to Chrome / Nothing People territory. We’re into the new direction the band is heading and we’re stoked to see them live this summer. Hopefully, the vinyl will be ready by then. For now, we’ll just spin this CD into the ground. If we play it hard enough, maybe we’ll total it.
